Just curious what everyone else does whenever you camp, do you cook all meals at your site, or do you run down to Mcdonalds.

We usually do a little of both, depending where we are at, but sometimes it's just quicker to run down and grab fast food :whistling:

Depending on where we are we will usually BUY the first nights dinner, at KFC, Pizza or what ever just because we have enough to do do to get camp set up.

We pack the rest of our meals and cook while we are there, thats part of the fun for me, BBQ, open fire or what ever we feel like! We even bring our home made pasta sauce just in case we feel like home made pasta!

Yes I am SPOILED :rotflmao1:

Absolutely! I personally love to cook, cook most meals at home to. My motto is always have grill will travel. I take it everywhere I go, especially camping. I cook some pretty good steaks, but if your ever in the TN area here, I will cook you the best burger you have ever had :thumbup1:

I also enjoy cooking boston butt (pork butt roast) on the grill. I cook it indirectly at about 300 degrees for an hour per pound. It will melt in your mouth. Oh, and ribs...dont get me started, getting hungry.

I make some little venison kabobs quite often as well. These little jewels are awesome, NO gamey taste guaranteed! I cut some tenderloin up in cubes/squares and put that on a toothpick an put a piece of onion and a water chestnut on the toothpick, and then wrap a piece of bacon around it and marinate it. Holy smokes!

I dont think we have ever been out to eat when camping, other than fast food lunch if out driving around. I am always cooking, thats what I am heading out to do in about 2 hours. We almost always have burgers the first night, cause there easy and quick (had them last night).

I think I eat to much red meat :scratchhead: but I do grill salmon every so often to deter the heart attack.

Boy just reading your post made me hungry as could be ! :icon_smile_bbq:
I cook every breakfast and supper when we are camping. The wife makes the sandwiches for lunches. :icon_smile_bbq:
Rain or shine we cook at the campsite. I don't know what it is about camping but I love to cook.
We 95% of the time cook all meals at camp. Sometimes it depends on what we are doing during the day. There have been times we at lunch somewhere because of being pretty far from camp. We've also camped during a birthday, so dinner was a night out for the birthday person.
Well, guess I spoke too soon. Since the wife wasnt feeling so good this weekend with the sinus infection, she said she just couldnt eat steak friday night, which was thawed and ready to cook. It was painful to chew for her. So we actually went out to eat friday night.
We have gone out to eat while camping, but for the most part we cook. We usually always cook breakfast and supper, and as happiest mentioned above we usually have sandwiches for lunch or sometimes leftovers.
Yes I would have to say this weekend was different. My DH usually does the meat on the grill. We ate out more this camping trip, due to my illness and weather, more than all our other camping trips combined.
