Well, the wife got a special meal this valentines day, as did I

To start, I bought two fresh lobster tails.

I am grilling them, so I cut them in half to make it a little easier, and allow for more meat to rub marinade on

This is what I used on my lobster tails, they turned out very good!

1 tablespoon lemon juice
1/2 cup olive oil
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon paprika
1/8 teaspoon white pepper
1/8 teaspoon garlic powder

Mix it all together, brush on everywhere. I let them sit for about 30 minutes, brushing every so often.

Then, to keep them from curling up while cooking, I skewered them. I let these cook about 12 minutes or so, flipping over once. Just remember, its like cooking a large shrimp, cook it the same way, and DONT overcook it dry.

Ahhh, yes, the steaks. I used two fat porterhouse this go around. For the marinade, I like a tuscan style marinade I concocted myself, based off of one I had at a restaurant years ago. I dont know the exact measurements, as I just eyeball it, but this should be close. Easy, and delicious!

For 2 steaks:
- About a 1/2 cup of olive oil
- 1 tbsp of fresh rosemary (I use fresh, because I grow it) store bought works to, just get the fine stuff, not the longer stemmed stuff.
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 2 tbsp balsamic vinegar
- 1 tbsp garlic powder

Then I sprinkle both sides with kosher salt, probably around a tsp or so per side. This works wonders for steaks.

The end result!

The wife really does have it rough around here don't she?
