Beech Lake Campground
Doing it right now as a matter of fact, camping. Sad I know, I have my laptop. I have to travel with it in case I have to work, comes with the territory. Rest of the fam is napping, so I thought I would log on for a minute. Great weather here, came in last night. Upper 80's and sunny.

hey all , hope everybody had a great time this past holiday weekend . The wife , kid , and i went to our favorite campground and the weather was awesome . Along with us we took my pops ( he has a 1973 Serro Scotty Sportsman 13' we did a frame up restore on ) and good friends of ours took their 31' Wilderness out for their first ever camping trip . We had a good time and all the kids were VERY well behaved , only one or two meltdowns from them .
I did learn 1 very important lesson on Sunday , REMEMBER SUNSCREEN ON YOUR FEET :smack-head:!!!!! My feet got fried except where my sandel straps were . The wife put sun block all over me but i forgot to do my feet due to me be all in a hurry to get to the horseshoe tourny .
I will post pics when i get a few more minuets .

Beech Lake
We too had a great time this past weekend. We went to Beech Lake Campground in Lexington TN. We actually took friday off as well, and went up thursday night. My aunt and uncle also came up and brought 4 kids with them (all borrowed) and they brought my boat up, well actually my dads boat but I use it more than he does.
We played the new cornhole game I built, hit the fishing holes at the crack of dawn, took the kids tubing in the afternoon, spent hours at the swimming hole at the lake, cooked, just had a great time. Weather was great, little hot, but no rain.
Took the little one fishing one afternoon in a nice little bream bed, and they would take it as soon as it hit the water. She got tired of reeling them in :smack-head:, and these were nice hand size keeper bream, made great fillets. I will get some pics ups too here soon.

We had a great time over the weekend. Camped with some guys from work and friends. Boondocked out in the woods close to cycle/quad trails, as that whole group rides. We had four campers, a few tents, and some people sleeping in their Suburbans, Vans, and pickup beds. Probably about 15 adults, and as many kids.
The wife, kids and I geocached all weekend, and wheel the Suburban a little.

Overall it was a good weekend, we had a blast. New(used) 454ci Suburban did great towing the camper for the first time.

man-that would be awesome to have that many people camping together... wish we were closer. It is funny to see people in sweatshirts when we are in swim suits melting in the heat (mostly just me since I am the northern girl and they are all native Tennesseans). We went swimming in the lake and I thought to myself-there is no way I would be swimming in the lakes in Minnesota this time of year!:no:

It has not been that nice here this spring. Last night was 36* but today was 70* out. Holiday weekend up here was 40's at night 60's during the day.
