Hi All, I need some help, I have a Transit med height and med wheelbase, I have already converted it to a campervan but, to register it with DVLA they say I have to have a 6' bed, gas or electric cooking facilities fixed in place, but in a med wheelbase van I can't have a 6' bed and don't want gas or electric cooking facilities fixed, any help would appreciated, thanks Dave

Welcome to the forum! Hopefully someone else will have more information about that. My first question, being from the US, what is the advantages of registering as a camper? Vs as a van?

While I lived in CT if you registered it as a camper it would allow you on more road. Why you ask many road would not let van or pickups on rt 34 but a camper van could so I guess it would be better to check and see if restrictions apply or which tax's pay more. I now like in TN best tax less state to retire in in my opinion. is one for you if you buy a trailer and not leave state no tags needed but don't leave state with it.
