Don't laugh! I know that sounds funny. You can really make a mean omlette in a plastic sandwich bag. Here's how:

Start with a pot of boiling water. Next you need an ordinary ziptop bag. Put the number of eggs you would like for your omlette into a ziptop bag (preferably at least quart size), season it to your liking, and then add the ingredients for your omlette. Bell peppers, mushrooms, onions, cheese, whatever.

Next mush the bag together to mix the ingredients. (Kids love to do this part!) Zip the top closed, taking out any excess air, and put the bag into the boiling water. Let it sit there, boiling away, for about 8-10 minutes (longer if you have a whole bunch of ingredients).

When the bag is firm and you can't see any runny egg, take the bag out of the water with a pair of tongs or something. VERY CAREFULLY open the bag and pour the ingredients onto a plate. Then enjoy! I think you'll like it. :D
