We live on the Space Coast on the Indian River
where they have many small islands. We take our 4
chihuahua's that can run loose, swim and love the boat.
They sleep in the main tent with us and we also bring
a crate too.
I will be camping with my miniature dachshund. I plan on bringing his crate, his crate fan, a bed or blankets, an x-pen to allow him to go out without a leash, food, gallon water, treats, his favorite toy, first aide kit for him, a tick gadget that will tweeze the tick off him if there is one. Thats all I can think of right now
We always take our Lab. He loves going hiking with us through the woods. Our dog goes crazy for squirrels, deer, chipmunks, birds, etc. He always has a blast. We basically just bring his food, leash, tie out, bed and a couple toys.
We take our Beagle mix.She has a folding nylon crate.Folding water dish and food dish.We use a horse training lead for a leash(good and long and sturdy)No need for toys she has too many kids to keep her busy.At night she lies by the fire and sleeps till we goto bed.We also make sure she is treated to keep ticks and blood suckers at bay. When the kids get sprayed she whines till she gets a little.LOL Kids go figure.
I take my dog camping, she absolutely loves the outdoors (as do most dogs), usually just take a squeaky toy and a big bag of treats. We camp next to Loch Lomond a lot and she loves the water and swimming so usually a towel and a portable heater to keep her dry and warm afterwards.
