South/southwest hehehe, I can't stand being cold. One year I camped early November in a tent, the bed was like a block of ice the first night dipped so low. We ended up abandoning the tent and went to a hotel, but the second night was a little better, and we managed the tents.
I remember camping just outside of Canterbury in England (we had the folding camper back then), it was in October, and we had a hard frost that night, when we woke up the next morning, there was a ginger cat that had crawled onto our bed without waking us up. He was absolutely snuggled down. Later in the day, I went to the reception, and asked about him. Apparently, he's a stray at the nearby hospital. If not for having a dog at the time, I would have took him home, but then again, I didn't think he'd appreciate a 200 mile drive home
