Mistakes were made, I must admit. So just replace it with an inverter type - from my experience, Yamahas (I'm talking about EF2000iSv2) are great. You'll save fuel and it will be much quieter. As another option - we replaced my father's old generator with two Honda's. Won't say it was the cheapest solution available, but it was a good one certainly. |

![]() I want to buy a generator but I worry about its noise. After comparing many types of RV generators I think that almost big generators like Westinghouse or Champion are loud while Honda has a small size but they quieter. However, it seems that big generators work more effectively so I am confused to make a decision.

![]() Champion generators seem to be excellent from all I read about them. The last time I checked, the Champion headquarters are right here in California.
Here's a link to the website https://www.rvweb.net/best-rv-generators-reviewed/. I recommend one of their 2000 watt inverter models. They are very, very quiet when their full power is not needed ... as they go up and down in speed (and noise) automatically, depending upon how much power is required of them at any given time. Note the American flag showing in the upper right of the pictures of some of their models. Stick with picking one of those models - as probably the flag means it's available in the U.S.. |
