Q: What information about myself can I choose to hide?
A: The short answer is “as much or as little as you want.” You can hide your real first and last name from everyone, even your family and friends, by using a Display Name in your Profile. You can also hide your location, age, gender, and online status. This can all be done using the Edit Profile form.
Pretty much everything in the Edit Profile form can be left blank or set as “No Answer” if you don’t want to share that information.
A: Your friends see your first and last name. Friends of friends see your first name followed by the first initial of your last name. Everyone else sees just your first name. If you want to hide your name completely, you can choose a display name in your Edit Profile form.
A: Your Display Name is like a screen name or nickname here at CamperCommunity.com. Normally either your first and/or last name is used on the site, but you can choose a Display Name as part of your Profile. Your Display Name will appear in place of your real name everywhere on the site.

Q: What size and format should I use to upload pictures?
A: Pictures, whether for your profile, classified ad, blog post or event, work best uploaded in the JPEG format. You can upload images in GIF format, but all thumbnails are saved as JPEGs. Below are the technical requirements:
Maximum Dimensions: 800 pixels wide and/or 600 pixels tall.
Maximum File Size: 1,024 Kilo Bytes (1 Mega Byte).
If an image isn’t square, it’s placed on top of a white background when thumbnail images are created automatically. Ideally, if your profile photo isn’t going to be square, have your image on top of a white background to begin with, but this is not required.
