Unhappy Hello from South Carolina

My name is Andy. I've been camping all my life, and for the first time in a camper. My wife and I bought it a week ago and was told there were absolutely no leaks. Well there is! Just wondering if any one knows any tricks to find where they are? Unfortunately I think there is one from the water heater. any help would be greatly appreciated.
Than You, Andy

Welcome aboard (from another South Carolinian)

Are you talking roof leaks or plumbing leaks?

thanks for the welcome Jon, I found out where the leak is from. It's from the front of the roof, the middle, and the back. I didn't know they even had roofs made of osb with a rubber top that had dry rotted then instead of replacing damp wood, just throw a mop full of kool seal over it. I paid for a wonderful travel trailer that had no leaks whatsoever.Started today with pulling both back corners rotted till there was no wood.I guess tomorrow I'll start tearing osb off top to let it dry out then replace the roof and start over. sure would've been nice if the person I bought it from would have told me, but there ya go. I won't mention any names but his annitials are Travis James out of greenville S.C. I know where I won't be getting my concrete from. so anyway got a long road ahead of me it will be nice once I finish rebuilding it.

Sorry you having so much trouble, sounds like buyer beware. I guess I've been lucky that both of my camper purchases have both been new.

sorry to hear of the leaky roof problems, it really is buyer beware and its almost to the point of having to hire a home inspection before buying ,,, sad isn't it....

Welcome to the forum.Me and my wife bought a pop up about 10 years ago.The man had put all new tires and canvas on it but the roof was bad so we bought it cheap. It was not that bad to rebuild the roof on it.Campers are fairly easy to work on. We put all new wood and insalation in the roof.We camped in it for a few years with no trouble. We really enjoyed fixing it up together. It sucks that someone would rip you off like that.Hope you get it fixed ok and enjoy it for years to come.
