A Handy Dandy Sandwich Maker

Posted 08-09-2008 at 05:39 PM by merrystrong
If you do your camping in an RV, you might want to consider taking a sandwich maker on your next trip. It’s a real time saver that takes up very little space. It makes yummy sandwiches and other quick snacks. The best part is that clean-up is a breeze. (There is hardly any at all. Usually just a couple of wipes, with a paper towel, will suffice.)

I have used my sandwich maker to make just about every kind of sandwich, imaginable. After all this time though, my favorite is still...

Camping Mattresses

Posted 08-06-2008 at 11:57 PM by merrystrong
Some people that camp truly like to rough it. Me? I’ve never been too crazy about lying on the cold, hard, ground… even in my younger days. If you are anything like me, an affordable solution is a camping mattress.

They come in all sizes and price ranges. You can find them at almost any store that carries camping supplies. You really don’t have to spend a million bucks to be comfortable.

S’mores have evolved at bit, since way back when. I was actually quite surprised to learn they have been in existence since 1927, the year the recipe first appeared in the Girl Scout Handbook.

These days many new and sometimes crazy ingredients have been added to the basic...

A Cool Picnic Cooler

Posted 07-16-2008 at 12:14 PM by merrystrong
I’m currently in search of a new picnic cooler. It won’t be a replacement cooler. I’m looking for an extra one. (I’ve come to the conclusion that you can never have too many coolers, especially on a camping trip.)

I think I want a soft sided cooler. By the looks of things they are becoming increasingly popular. They are available in a wide range of sizes and colors and are really quite neat!

A cooler like this would also be great for the beach, tailgate parties,...
