The 2 Second Tent

I think most people will agree with me that as much as they love to camp, they hate the chore of putting up a tent. I recently ran across a tent that even the kids will want to pitch. (They might even fight over the job!)


It’s manufactured by a company called Quechua and is billed as ‘the 2 second tent’. They are available in three sizes and several snappy colors. You basically give it a quick little toss, in the air and it’s up. It folds away in just a minute or two, as well.

These tents accommodate anywhere from one to four people. They would be great for hiking or backpacking. You could even use the largest one a ‘screened in porch’, if you normally travel by RV.

The 2 Second Tent is waterproof and very lightweight. It’s one of those things you discover and then think to yourself… ‘Man, I wish I would have thought of that’!

Now for the bad news. They are not yet available in the US. But, I am crossing my fingers that the tents will be available here, at some point. I am definitely ready to throw away my tent stakes, forever.
